THE QUEER ARCHIVE FESTIVAL 2020

ABOUT

The Queer Archive Festival is an arts festival based in Athens, offering a rich program of multimedia experiences, open and accessible to all. The aim of the festival is to address the different approach around the issues of the queer community by supporting young, well-established, domestic or non-domestic artists, enhancing personal experience while promoting public dialogue and focusing on free expression.

Video installations, exhibitions, walks, workshops, interactive art and performances will be part of the festival's activities aimed at highlighting talent, supporting progressive thinking and encouraging creativity.

The first The Queer Archive Festival is powered by Onassis Stegi and it will take place February 13-16 2020 in galleries and alternative venues in downtown Athens. This collaboration aims to expand the queer community of Athens and to welcome the viewpoint of established and emerging creators by offering them equal space and opportunities for communication and exposure.

The Queer Archive Festival aims to become a catalyst for curiosity, meaningful discussion and cultural progress and will offer to a wide range of artistic efforts the opportunity to be exhibited and to be easily accessible in a list of venues, all under the same creative umbrella.
