Konstantinos Menelaou is a film artist with a strong professional background in art curation and creative production. Menelaou's film and video work has been shown in festivals and galleries around the world including London BFI Flare, Queer Lisboa, Thessaloniki Film Festival, Barbican Gallery, Kunsthall Charlottenborg, Centre Pompidou, Pica Australia, NYC Mix, Exile Gallery and Reeling Chicago.

In 2018 he produced and directed his first feature film “He Loves Me”, a hybrid between traditional cinema and experimental art practice, which has been shown in festivals around the world and won the Best Cinematography Award at Qfest Texas.



Menelaou has worked as a researcher/editor for White Cube gallery in 2008-2009 and in 2010 he became a producer for Diane Pernet's ASVOFF festival at Centre Pompidou, Paris. In 2012 he took on the position of the art curator and creative producer for three editions of Fringe! Film and Arts Festival in London.



In September 2013 he launched The Queer Archive, an arts platform that showcases the work of queer artists and filmmakers, as well as producing films, events, art exhibitions. In 2020 he joined forces with Onassis Cultural Centre and together they launched The Queer Archive festival, an annual celebration of queer arts based in Athens. In 2021 Menelaou launched The Queer Archive Artshop - an online art gallery celebrating queer creativity.



In January 2023 he spent three months in Los Angeles as a resident at Tom Of Finland foundation where he filmed the documentary “California sober”, an exploration of addictiveness  in the queer community of LA.



He is currently working on a Greek Film Centre funded documentary based on the life and work of Greek actress Aliki Vouyiouklaki, while he is developing a documentary on fashion icon Diane Pernet.
